Part 3: ActiveCampaign

Hey Dappers!

Part 3 of the DAP v4.7 Pre-launch Feature-Drip Series is here!

ActiveCampaign Integration

DAP now integrates with the awesome ActiveCampaign email marketing service.

We have had a number of Dappers ask for this integration, so we’re happy to announce that this will now be included in the upcoming DAP v4.7.

The email integration is 2-way: Both from DAP-to-ActiveCampaign, as well as ActiveCampaign-to-DAP.

1) DAP-to-ActiveCampaign

There are generally 3 types of users, and this integration will work for all 3 types.

a) Subscriber joining your site via a DAP-generated free signup form, or

b) Buyer/Member buying a product or membership level, and thus getting an account in DAP, or

c) Admin adding a User manually or by importing them.

Regardless of how this user is created, anyone being added to a DAP product – free or paid – will trigger that DAP Product’s settings.

And using the DAP Product’s Plugin Notification upon User “Add” and Plugin Notification upon User “Remove” fields under the Notifications tab, you can have DAP add the user to ANY list of your choice in your ActiveCampaign account.

2) ActiveCampaign-to-DAP

The integration works the other way too: When someone signs up for your list directly via an ActiveCampaign-generated signup form, you can also have ActiveCampaign add that subscriber to any free DAP product.

The ActiveCampaign integration is quite similar to our Aweber integration (see Aweber-to-DAP and DAP-to-Aweber). The general idea is the same – the implementation details are of course, different.

If you wish to segment your users so you can track them separately and market differently to different members, then you can create a separate ActiveCampaign list for each product or membership level, and have different members in DAP be added to different lists in ActiveCampaign.

Of course, you can also add users from all different DAP products into just one big ActiveCampaign list. Don’t see much use for that, but you can still do it if that’s what you want.

Auto-Login for Single-Optin Sign-ups

If you use the DAP Signup Form to sign up the user, then if the Product is Single-Optin, then the user will be auto-logged in to the member’s area immediately after sign up. Of course, you have the option of either redirecting them to the member’s area, or to any page of your choice (like a thank-you page, or another offer page). The same Auto-login will occur if your ActiveCampaign list is single-optin, and the user is added from ActiveCampaign to DAP, and can be auto-logged in, and redirected to member’s area or another page.

But if your DAP list is double-optin, or if your ActiveCampaign list is double-optin, then the user is initially sent the double-optin confirmation email first, and only upon clicking on the confirmation link, are they sent the welcome email from DAP (or your ActiveCampaign list). Following that, they can then log in manually from the DAP login page.

ActiveCampaign Integration is Free

This feature will be FREE to all current DAP users and will be included as part of the upcoming DAP v4.7.
