How would I change a checkout page so that by default “USA” is selected as the country?

What if I have two products on the same membership site and one of them I want to give the Paypal and Credit Card option but for the other product I only want to give the Credit Card option.

How would I edit the checkout page so that for one of them it shows the paypal button and the other one it doesnt?

Hi Brandon,

You can use the same checkout page for both products but during the payment button generation for the products, you can specify whether you want paypal + cc or just cc option.

You can insert it after any input tag.

For ex, you can look for item_name tag and insert it after that.

..input type=”hidden” name=”item_name” value=”…”

Hey! So how would we actually edit the page to our liking? What do we do with those files you show us in the second video? What I want to be able to do is to recap my offer and bonuses plus add a few testimonials right there on the order page and it needs to be different for each product order page.

Do you think the way to go would be a custom sidebar for each page? I still would like to know the answer to the first question if so.

Select the product and you can update the header/footer/terms etc.

I’m wondering if the DAP Shopping Cart supports JCB credit cards? I have many customers from Japan and I noticed that Stripe supports JCB.

I created the check out page and was testing it. It won’t allow me to choose a country and state/province. It shows the drop down arrow to make a choice but no options are listed. Am I missing something in my set up?

Please ftp to your site and check the contents of /dap/dap-config.php file. Make sure the SITE_URL_DAP definition is set correctly and is pointing to the right website.

I am using Optimize Prest as a theme, and it seems it is creating some conflicts with DAP shopping cart? The checkout page editor is not working correclty, I can not configure anything…

Second question: I do not need adress information from my customers, is it possible to delete this from the form?

Hi Julien,

The dap cart works fine with OptimizePress theme. I use OP myself on some of my own sites and it works fine with the dap cart.

If you use version 2.1 or 2.2 of the dap cart, in the editor, you will find an option to configure various options. One of the options is to select whether you are using OP as the theme.

But if you are not able to use the editor at all, it might be one of the plugins you are using. I don’t think it’s theme related. You can temporarily de-activate all active plugins except DAPLiveLinks and the dap cart and then see if the problem goes away. If yes, please re-activate plugins few at a time to see which plugin is causing this problem.

how i can select on the Checkout only countrys where i do ship?

And can i disable the part “State/province”? It is not needed – how? When i put “<!–" before this part, i dont see anymore countrys…

Sorry can’t narrow down the list currently but we’ll be releasing a new shopping cart plugin called “Powercart” where you’ll be able to select “default” country.

And you “state” field will ONLY be required if selected country is US.
