We’re so excited that today is DAP’s 5th birthday!
DAP is our baby, as you know. So we prefer birthday rather than anniversary, and family rather than customers 🙂
DAP was launched back on October 10, 2008. And here we are, 5 years later, still having the same fire in our bellies and hunger in our hearts, to make DAP the best membership plugin on the planet.
We know we’re not there yet, and we’re certainly not done yet, but that really has been our single biggest obsession so far – to take DAP “where no membership plugin has gone before” 🙂

When can I download the new DAP Shopping Cart (BETA)?
We are releasing the BETA version today and doing a closed beta with a select group of DAP users who have volunteered. We will notify you via our blog and by email when it’s available for everyone.
What are the requirements for the new DAP Shopping Cart?
1. You need at least one of the following:
a) a Paypal Standard Account, or
b) an Authorize.net merchant account or
c) a Stripe.com account or
d) a Paypal Payments PRO account
2. If you wish to sell subscription-based products, then you also need Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) enabled in your Authorize.net account.
3. If you’re using Authorize.net or Paypal Website Payments Pro or Stripe.com, then you need to have SSL (secure server) enabled on your web site. Please ask your web host to enable SSL/HTTPs for your site. SSL is NOT needed if you allow users to ONLY ‘Checkout with Paypal Standard’ option. It’s ONLY needed if you wish to allow users to enter CC info on the checkout page right on your site.
4. IMPORTANT: You need to be on DAP 4.4.3 & LiveLinks 1.8.3.2
What happens to my existing DAP Shopping Cart?
The NEW Shopping Cart will NOT affect the existing version of DAP cart on your site.
But given the number of files we have updated for the new CART, it’s better you DO NOT apply the BETA version to a LIVE web site. We recommend using it only on sites that are NOT live yet, or on test sites.
