All you need is a regular Paypal (Standard) Business\/Premier Account.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>IMPORTANT: What you need before you can use this plugin<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>You need a <strong>Paypal (Standard) Business or Premier <\/strong>account<\/li>\n<li>You must have <strong>SSL<\/strong> (secure server) enabled on your web site. Ask your web host to enable SSL for your site.<\/li>\n<li>You must have a working version of <strong>DAP 4.4.3+<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You cannot sell a \u201cRecurring\u201d product as an Upsell.\u00a0 Recurring products have to be the first product in the flow.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Here\u2019s what you CAN do<\/strong>: You can have a recurring product as the very FIRST product that they purchase (when they first click on the \u201cBuy\u201d button on your main sales page), and then you can offer any number of \u201cOne-Time\u201d Products as upsells or downsells.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Here\u2019s what you CANNOT do<\/strong>: Offer a \u201cOne-Time\u201d product as your first product that they buy, and <em>then<\/em> try to upsell them to a \u201cRecurring\u201d Product. Unfortunately, this is a Paypal problem at this time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Install Paypal Upsell Tree plugin<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to your WickedCoolPlugins.com account and download the <strong>PaypalStandardUpsell.<\/strong>zip file, <strong>dapcompanionfilesforPUT.zip<\/strong>\u00a0 file from<strong> http:\/\/wickedcoolplugins.com\/my-account\/downloads\/<\/strong> page. If you do not have access to this plugin, please contact us via a support ticket and we will send you the right link to purchase the plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Go to WP admin -&gt; plugins -&gt; add new -&gt; Upload tab -&gt; select the <strong>PaypalStandardUpsell.<\/strong>zip file, click on Install, and after the plugin is installed, click on activate to activate the <strong>PaypalStandardUpsell <\/strong>plugin in WordPress.<\/li>\n<li>Download the WCP License plugin from your WickedCoolPlugins.com downloads area (<strong>http:\/\/wickedcoolplugins.com\/my-account\/downloads\/<\/strong> )<\/li>\n<li>Install and activate the WCP License plugin in WordPress (just like any other WP plugin).<\/li>\n<li>Make a note of your WCP license key (you will find it in your WickedCoolPlugins.com downloads area).<\/li>\n<li>Go to WP admin \u2013 &gt; settings -&gt; WCP license and enter the WCP license key (that you noted in step# 6 above).<\/li>\n<li>Also,\u00a0 unzip the\u00a0<strong>dapcompanionfilesforPUT.zip<\/strong>\u00a0 file to your desktop (the one you downloaded in step #2), you will find a <strong>dap<\/strong> subfolder under it.<\/li>\n<li>FTP to you site, find the root folder of your site, and upload the entire dap folder to the ROOT FOLDER of your WEBSITE. When you do this, it will automatically overwrite the files in your DAP folder with the right version needed by PUT.<\/li>\n<li>\n<address><strong>Installation of Paypal Upsell-Tree Plugin is now complete.<\/strong><\/address>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Find the API info from Paypal.<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>log in to your Paypal account.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cProfile\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cRequest API Credentials\u201d (under \u2018Account Information\u2019 section). It will bring you to the API access page.<\/li>\n<li>Under Option 2, click on \u201cRequest API credentials\u201d to create your own API username and password.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cRequest API signature\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cAgree &amp; Submit\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Note down the following pieces of information:<br \/>\n* API Username<br \/>\n* API Password<br \/>\n* API Signature<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Enter the Paypal API info in DAP Seup -&gt; Config.<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to DAP Admin Dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>Go to \u201c<strong>Setup &gt; Config<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>\n<li>On that page, click on the \u201cPaypal\u201d link in the links towards the very top of that page (or scroll down to the \u201c<strong>Payment Processing: Paypal<\/strong>\u201d section).<\/li>\n<li>Enter the 3 pieces of API info that you got from Paypal in the previous step into the Config fields 7, 8 &amp; 9 on that screen:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Paypal API Username<\/strong>, <strong>Paypal API Password<\/strong>, and <strong>Paypal API Signature<\/strong>. Cick\u00a0 \u201cUpdate\u201d and save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Generate a WP based FINAL CONFIRMATION page.<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>This is the page the users will land on when they have added all the items (main item, upsell items) to the cart and are ready to complete the final checkout.<\/li>\n<li><strong>WordPress Based FINAL Confirmation Page for Paypal upsell:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Create a NEW WP page.\u00a0<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Click on the<strong> PUT Editor button<\/strong> in the <strong>WP admin &#8211; &gt; Add New page -&gt; Visual Tab<\/strong>. pick the options and complete the\u00a0 creation of this WP page.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Lets say you call this page &#8211; <strong>confirmation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Publish this page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>When your buyer reaches the final checkout confirmation page (<strong>\/confirmation<\/strong>) then they can review all of the products in their \u201cUpsell Cart\u201d, and buy them all instantly and all together, without having to go back to Paypal ever again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Steps to generate the MAIN buy button<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>In the DAP Dashboard menu, go to <strong>Payment Processing &gt; Generate Buy Button<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease click on the <strong>&#8216;Paypal Standard Upsell&#8217;<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 1<\/strong> &#8211; Select the DAP Product for which you\u2019re trying to generate the <strong><\/strong>buy button, from the Product list.\u00a0 <strong>NOTE: The very first product that you sell in the flow can be a recurring product or a one-time product.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 2<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Generate &#8220;Primary&#8221; Buy Button (initial\/first payment button that triggers upsell)<\/strong>.\u00a0 This will be the button that kicks off the full sales funnel. So this is your PRIMARY buy button. Fill in the text boxes for button generation and copy the generated button code to the MAIN SALES PAGE on your site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Generate the Upsell and No, Thanks button.<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0 you <strong>cannot<\/strong> upsell \/ downsell a <strong>recurring\/subscription<\/strong> product because of Paypal API Restriction.<\/li>\n<li>YOU can do unlimited upsells and downsells BUT THE\u00a0 upsell\/downsell products can only be non-subscription products.<\/li>\n<li>In the DAP Dashboard menu, go to <strong>Payment Processing &gt; Generate Buy Button<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease click on the <strong>&#8216;Paypal Standard Upsell&#8217;<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 1<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Select the product that you want to UPSELL or DOWNSELL.<\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 3<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Please SKIP the STEP 2 (as step 2 is for MAIN\/PRIMARY button) and <strong>go straight to STEP 3<\/strong>.\u00a0 Follow the easy-to-use instructions on the button generation page, fill in the text boxes for upsell button generation and copy the generated button code on to the upsell or downsell page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NOTE<\/strong>:\u00a0 On every upsell page, make sure to provide both AN UPSELL BUTTON as well as a &#8216;NO, THANKS&#8217; button. WITHOUT a NO, THANKS button, the users cannot SKIP any UPSELLS and they will be stuck.<\/li>\n<li>To generate a <strong>No, Thanks.<\/strong> button, select the button type (STEP &#8211; 3) as <strong>No, Thanks.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You can repeat step #3 through step #7 for all of your upsell\/downsell pages.<\/li>\n<li>When it&#8217;s the last upsell button or if it&#8217;s a No, Thanks button that does not lead to any more upsells, then please set the <label><strong>Will there be MORE &#8220;1-click Upsells&#8221; after this upsell? to &#8220;NO&#8221;.<\/strong><\/label><\/li>\n<li>Now when you set <label><strong>Will there be MORE &#8220;1-click Upsells&#8221; after this upsell?<\/strong><\/label> to &#8220;<strong>NO&#8221;, <\/strong>the button generation process will ask you to fill the URL of the<strong> FINAL CONFIRMATION PAGE.\u00a0 <\/strong>You can set it to http:\/\/<strong>YOURSITE.com<\/strong>\/<strong>confirmation<\/strong> (replace <strong>YOURSITE.com<\/strong> with the name of your site). The URL needs to match the url of the confirmation page you created\u00a0when you followed the instructions for<strong> Generate a WP based FINAL CONFIRMATION page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>VERY IMPORANT:\u00a0 <\/strong>Please sure that both the upsell button code as well as \u201cNo Thank You\u201d link on the last upsell or downsell page, should point to \/confirmation or whatever is your FINAL CONFIRMATION PAGE URL.\u00a0 Please set this correctly during the button generation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Test the User Experience <strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Make sure to test the entire purchase flow, and every upsell\/ downsell \/ no, thanks button before you go LIVE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">To test, you can either create a new Paypal account that is different from your SELLER account OR you can create a Paypal Sandbox account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">If you want to use Paypal Sandbox account for testing, please remember to switch back to your LIVE account before you go LIVE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">For Paypal Sandbox testing, please make the following changes to DAP Config.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">DAP Setup =&gt; Config\u00a0=&gt; Payment Processing: Paypal =&gt; Use Paypal Sandbox =&gt; &#8220;YES&#8221;<br \/>\nDAP Setup =&gt; Config\u00a0=&gt; Payment Processing: Paypal =&gt; Paypal API Endpoint -&gt; https:\/\/api-3t.<strong>sandbox<\/strong>.paypal.com\/nvp<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: Remember to change back to original settings before you GO LIVE.<\/p>\n<p>While all of this looks like a LOT of steps, that is only because we have tried to explain the steps in detail so they are clear. In reality, it is very simple to set up, and starting from scratch, if you have DAP &amp; SSL already installed, it shouldn\u2019t take you more than 1\/2 hour to set up your 1-Click Upsells\/Downsells\/OTO\u2019s.
